Museum Frauenkultur Regional–International im Marstall von Schloss Burgfarrnbach/Fürth
Museum of Women's Culture Regional-International, Marstall of the Castle of Burgfarrnbach/Fürth
"SEHEN & GESEHEN WERDEN II", MUSEUMSAUSSTELLUNG
"SEE & BE SEEN II", MUSEUM EXHIBITION
In this exhibition, the special position on the subject of perception and seeing becomes visible: the breadth and diversity of female life contexts, bringing together art and everyday things, thinking and everyday action, dreams, ideals and concrete actions.
In a kind of balance of the museum's own objects in combination with art, the museum wants to offer a place where seeing is fun, contains surprises and can make our own pictures in our heads more diverse and colourful.
Images of the “foreign"; or “foreign women" are made visible and inspire new questions. The Women's Museum shows which forms and strategies women use to be seen with their stories, opinions and demands, to gain attention - be it through braided ribbons, embroidered images, elaborately sewn quilts, photos, films, installations, poems, stories or songs.
